NEW MIDDLE EAST شرق أوســط جديد

A masked soldier buries a woman while she is still alive. Who is he? Who is she? We might know or we might not. This burial of the woman may be equally confusing for both the audience and the two characters on stage.

However, in spite of the cruelty of this act, there is a space for a tragicomic dialogue between the two characters. In a certain country a soldier is fulfilling his duty and a woman is fulfilling her role as a victim that ought to be buried for a reason she doesn’t know. Yet, we know that they come from two conflicting groups.

Will the soldier be unmasked?

كلّ اللحظات الصغيرة، كلّ الاتّجاهات، الطّرق المفتوحة والمغلقة، المرئيّة وغير المرئيّة، كلّ الخطوط التي تصل بين نقطتين في الخارطة، في النفس وفي الذّاكرة، تحفرها مسارات الشّتات.

نحن مجموعة مسرحيين نحمل في ذاكرتنا قصصًا مشتركة عن أرضٍ واحدة ومسارات شتات مختلفة وَضعتْ كلَّ واحد منا على نقطة فوق الخارطة. لكنّها تعطينا أيضًا فرصة التجوال في شتاتنا الداخليّ.

أردنا البحث في معنى الهُويّة، فوجدنا أنفسنا نبحث في معنى الشتات.

كيف أصبح الشتات هو الهُويّة؟

في أماكن أُخرى يحوّل بشار مرقص وطاقم المشروع خشبة المسرح إلى مختبر من أجل تشريح الهوية، تفكيكها، من أجل التلاعب في مكوناتها، مراقبتها من بعيد، تأملها بدقة من زوايا مختلفة، محوّها وإعادة تكوينها أمام أعين المشاهدين.

تجربة مسرحية غنية تتعامل مع الذاكرة كمادة ملموسة، ومع الإنسان كقطعة في متحف، ومع المكان كفكرة.

انطلق هذا العمل من بحث مسرحيّ تحت عنوان "هويّة في مختبر" شارك في مسار البحث 25 ممثل وممثلة فلسطينية من مختلف مناطق التواجد الفلسطيني حول العالم.
